Matriculation Life During Pandemic
Its been almost 12 days that I have departed from my matriculation life. Although my house warm and cozy I still prefer my life in the hostel. I continued my higher-level education at Perak Matriculation College. It's a big college with beautiful sceneries and a lot of staircases. Remember if you get Perak Matriculation you have to walk a lot. Apart from that, it's been a hectic roller coaster ride with a lot of memories and lessons. I've learned a lot from my mistakes and my friend's mistakes.
August 3rd, 2020 is my first day in college. A lot of students from different states were there. I was a bit terrified and nervous but I am used to it. I unpacked my things and arranged them in a bad way actually because I don't have experience in moving into a new place. It took almost 3 hours to arrange my stuff but still didn't get them properly. There were 3 roomies with me. I love them so much even though most of the time I was not in the room. There were very good and super friendly. 3 of them are from Perak itself. There is nothing much to say about the 1st week because I spent most of the time sleeping and eating in my room.

The classes all started on the 2nd week. We have hybrid classes due to the covid-19. Hybrid classes mean the class that mixed with online and face to face classes. As we had most of our lectures and tutorial classes online it has been quite hard to cope with the studies. You guys would have a picture that we hybrid classes so we had a comfortable life. If you have that kind of idea you are wrong because even though the classes are hybrid we have tons of homework and assignments to complete. You know what is harder than homework and assignment, washing your own clothes. I am not lying, washing clothes could be harder if never wash your clothes at home. And you're correct, I am that kind of person.
To be honest, matriculation was hard not only for me, and I believe that for my friends as well. You'll be wondering why I am saying this. I am saying that it's hard but it's particularly harder for my batch of students because we sat for our major semester one exam face to face even though we finish studying the most the semester online. Another one is we forced to stay in our college compound for almost 5 months. We were not allowed to outing on the weekend. It could sound okay but it has been very hard to stay inside and not knowing what's going on outside. The last thing is we finished our second semester earlier compare to other batch students.
Guys, it may sound terrifying from what I wrote but believe me it was the most memorable part of life. I made some true friends while there. We were struggling together and rising together. We made fun of and defend each other at the same time. We made tons of mistakes but learned from them as well. It was hard but together we made it easier to live. I may sound dramatic a bit but ii think that you need to know that I set my goals higher than ever after I interacted with them. Even we started not to say big but a small business so that we can earn together. They also influence me to read books.
Not only friends, but this hardship also help me mold my life into something that always wanted. For example, being independent is hard and exciting for me because I never let to be independent of the day I was born. This hostel life taught me how to be independent and take responsibility for your action. That's how you grow into a successful person.
If you're a student I strongly recommend you to apply for Matriculation Program. If you are afraid to leave your family and home behind, remember that you are going to miss the most beautiful moments in your life. Don't afraid of what's coming, just live the moment as you are there. Have fun and learn a lot.
